A Small Stone Number 10


A muffled drum beats a slow and steady rhythm and I think I recognise the tune. If it wasn’t behind my right eye, I might even be able to dance to it.

Oh I've suffered from that. It's horrid. And the last thing I want to do when it happens is dance - though I do sometimes find myself tapping my feet in time with it!

I wrote this because years ago I remember reading about an abstract painting called "The Pain in My Left Shoulder" and that it was bought by someone who said 'oh, that's just how mine feels too...'

So maybe we've done something like that in words!
