Oooo. That's bright. We used to have a house in our village that was lavender with that kind of intensity. The owner tried to sell it and couldn't understand why he got no takers for the best part of six months.

Actually, this road is full of painted houses and has become a bit of a tourist attraction despite the fact it's a fair walk uphill from the pier and the pavilion. At one time the road boasted the Irish flag - a bright green house next to a white one next to an orange but I think someone's gone and put a dollop of mauve there now!
